Yap Mabuhay Enterprises Inc. was established as Yap Mabuhay Lumber and Construction Supply in General Santos City in 1969. As the name implies, it sold nothing but construction supplies. In 1979, the firm was incorporated. In the early 80’s it established a branch in Koronadal, South Cotabato. Today, while the founder is still actively involved in the operations of the company, most of the operations have been handed over to the children. In the mid 80’s the corporation expanded its stockholder base. In the 90’s, it added its present agricultural business line. In the mid 90’s it entrered into the contract growing business.
